Ryder Cup 2018

The Ryder Cup is a two-year-round, multi-day golf team tournament between the best golfers in Europe and the United States. It is named after the British seed trader and golf sponsor Samuel Ryder. Although it is a pure prestige duel with no prize money, it has become the most important golf team tournament in the world since it was first officially hosted in 1927. Since the first time, then only between players from Great Britain and the USA, the venue has changed between the continents. Unlike almost all professional tournaments, the competition is not played in the usual stroke play, but in the match play mode with varying play types.

There is a state of emergency in the golf world for four days when the best golfers in the world face each other at the Ryder Cup. In 2018, the Ryder Cup will take place for the second time in its history on mainland Europe. Le Golf National in France will host the event on its spectacular course “L’Albatros”, located 20 kilometres outside of central Paris.
